Cleaner wiped out Smartware (crap-ware) I'm guessing. Blitzkrieg.my other 2 WD's ( 3 & 4 TB) that don't have the yolk of Smartware run fine. Everything was just fine until I ran that "pos" Dr. On the 8 TB WD (ExFat), I cannot get it to mount on either, it does show in the WD's Utils on Mac, and it shows up on the laptop but says it needs to repair. Windows says I don't have Read access so I cannot even look at the contents and trying to install the firmware just bombs out. I was using the laptop to update the firmware because the Mac says it cannot run this version of Smartware without the firmware update. they are visible in WD's Drive Utils, but running Smartware does nothing, it says I don't have Read access on my Win10 laptop, it will not mount on the iMac. Now I cannot get Smartware to mount 2 of 4 WD External drives. cleaner because I got some bogus "virus alerts" in Safari, so I ran it.
